Experimentation, speculation, invention –
celebrating the unbuilt

Architecture Media is bringing the AA Prize for Unbuilt Work to a close. First awarded in 1993, the prize has played a significant role in Australian architectural culture, providing a platform for ideas, debate and speculation while projects remain in their conceptual stages.

Over the years, the prize has been revived on multiple occasions, and we remain open to the possibility that it may return in the future. In the meantime, Architecture Media will continue to champion unbuilt work and experimentation through Architecture Australia and ArchitectureAu.com.

We thank the many architects, designers, students, partners and jurors who have contributed to the success and legacy of the AA Prize for Unbuilt Work.
