Juror

Leah Lang is an experienced strategic design advisor and award-winning registered architect (FRAIA) and is the Queensland Government Architect in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic Games. She served four years as City Architect of the Gold Coast, overseeing critical design planning, policy and implementation to support the region’s sustainable growth and liveability.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Leah is undaunted by large-scale, complex and ambitious projects, and she understands site-specific subtleties. Among her greatest strengths is her ability to unify disparate stakeholders and bring cohesion to competing interests. Leah’s insights were instrumental to minimizing negative impacts on surrounding character landscapes for both the Gold Coast Light Rail and $60.5 million Home of the Arts (HOTA) Gallery.

Leah’s leadership and expertise have led to appointments on high-profile design boards, panels and juries. She leverages these roles to advocate for and facilitate delivery of high-quality, place-responsive design and heritage outcomes.
