Since graduating in architecture with first-class honours in 1977, Peter Tonkin has completed a wide range of highly successful projects. Formed in 1987, Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects (TZG) has a reputation for design and constructional excellence, winning approximately 140 industry, national and international design awards.

Peter’s major projects include the Australian War Memorial in London; the Riverbank Bridge in Adelaide; and the Public Domain at Sydney Olympic Park with 19 solar-powered plaza lighting towers. His recent projects include the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct on Sydney Harbour and the Bondi Pavilion revitalization. Further, TZG has major hotel and residential projects under construction and is working on cultural masterplans that include the National Art School in Sydney.

Peter has served on a wide range of public committees and boards and is a former adjunct professor of architecture at the University of Queensland and the University of Canberra.
